Lagos- Nigeria (PANA) -- French Foreign Minister Hubert Vedrine will hold talks with ECOWAS' Executive Secretary Lansana Kouyate in Abuja Thursday, at the start of a two-day visit to Nigeria, ECOWAS said in a statement Tuesday.
The talks will focus on relations between ECOWAS, France and the European Union, the statement said.
Vedrine and Kouyate will also discuss the crisis in some member States of ECOWAS, including the Mano River Union countries of Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone.
Both men will discuss French support for ECOWAS integration and peace-keeping efforts.
Vedrine will later fly to Bamako, where he is expected to hold further talks with the ECOWAS Chairman, Malian President Alpha Konare.
