France's first Lady to visit Benin Tuesday

Cotonou- Benin (PANA) -- Carla Bruni Sarkozy, France's first lady and ambassador of the world fund against AIDS, malaria and tuberculosis, is expected in Cotonou, the capital of Benin Republic, on Tuesday for a two-day working visit.
She will be accompanied by Melinda Gates, the co-chairperson of the Bill and Mel inda Gates Foundation.
According to an official communiquأ© here, the two women are coming to Benin to assess the results of a programme aimed at preventing mother-to-child transmissi o n of HIV/AIDS after which they could appeal for international donations towards t he programme.
The two ladies, scheduled to attend working sessions with authorities and instit utions involved in anti-HIV programmes, will later go to Port Novo, Dangbo and P o be where the programme has been implemented for years.
