FIFA Ranking: Nigeria women maintain 5th straight lead in Africa

Zurich, Switzerland (PANA) - Nigeria maintained the top spot in the latest FIFA ranking for African women's teams, released in Zurich on Friday by the world soccer governing body.

According to the FIFA media outlet, Nigeria maintained this position for five straight rankings since March 2016.

In the latest rankings, Nigeria (ranked 24 in the world), is ahead of Ghana (45), Cameroon (47), Equatorial Guinea (50), South Africa (51), Cote d'Ivoire (59), Tunisia (67), Morocco (69), Algeria (74) and Egypt (80) in that order.
