FAO to boost Guinea Bissau fisheries sector

Bissau- Guinea Bissau (PANA) -- Guinea Bissau and the UN Food and Agriculture Organisation have signed a contract under which the West African country will be assisted to improve the quality of its fish exports.
FAO will provide 150,000 US dollars for training about 60 laboratory managers and fisheries inspectors from the public and private sectors in Guinea Bissau.
Fishing contributes significantly to the country's economy.
