Explosion rocks Nigerian state

Lagos, Nigeria (PANA) - An early morning explosion rocked Jalingo, the capital of Nigeria's northern state of Taraba, Monday, causing damage to some government offices, according to state police command spokesman Ibiang Mbasike.

The explosion occurred just as government workers were resuming for work after the weekend.

Details of casualties and damages, as well as the identity of the attackers, are not yet known,

The incident occurred a day after an attack on Christian worshippers at the Bayero University in the northern city of Kano left 18 dead.
