Nouakchott, Mauritania (PANA) – A former Communications Minister, Hamoud Ould M'Hamed, was appointed head of the Mauritanian High Authority for Press and Broadcasting (HAPA), according a decree issued Tuesday by the Mauritanian presidency.
M'Hamed, who will hold office for the next five years, was at the head of the Department of Communications under former president Maaouya Ould Sid Ahmed Taya.
