Lome- Togo (PANA) -- The fourth extraordinary session of the council of ECOWAS finance ministers has opened at the ECOWAS headquarters in Lome to examine the conclusions of the Administration and Finance Commission.
The meeting will also look at the progress achieved in the ECOWAS transformation process, which was launched recently.
The reinforcement of the community fund and adoption of the community parliamentary budget are also on the agenda.
The meeting will also determine the allowances, subsidies, bonuses and other benefits to be bestowed upon the community MPs.
Opening the deliberations, Tankpadja Lalle, the Togolese finance and privatisation minister, called on member states to implement the decisions taken by the community organs, mainly the implementation of the protocol related to the community levy.
