El-Bashir renews call on Kadhafi over Darfur

Tripoli- Libya (PANA) -- Sudanese President Omar Hassan El-Bashir has reiterated his call on Libyan leader Colonel Moammar Kadhafi to personally intervene and ensure the settlement of the crisis in western Sudanese region of Darfur.
The Libyan news agency, JANA reported Tuesday that El-Bashir's latest call was contained in a message delivered to Kadhafi in Sirte, some 450-km east of Tripoli, by Sudanese Foreign Minister Mustapha Osman Ismail.
The Sudanese leader urged his Libyan counterpart to support efforts by the African Union by using his "good political and moral reputation in Africa" and the "great respect and consideration" in which he is held by his African peers.
Bashir hailed Kadhafi's stance in refusing any form of foreign intervention in African affairs.
