Freetown- Sierra Leone (PANA) -- A team of ECOWAS nutritionists has concluded a week-long plan for the 11th ECOWAS Nutrition Forum, scheduled to take place in Freetown, Sierra Leone, in September.
The ECOWAS team was led by the former Director General of the West African Health Organisation (WAHO), Dr.
Kabba Joiner, and also includes Dr.
Thiqm Ismael, the Nutritionist and Child Survival head at WAHO, and the Regional Information Technology Adviser from Helen Keller International headquarters in Dakar, Senegal.
The team met and discussed with personnel from Sierra Leone's Health Ministry and other partners, including the Agriculture and Food Security Ministry, over the plan for the forum.
Some 250 delegates from the 15 ECOWAS member countries are expected to attend the forum.
