Documentary on HIV/AIDS for launch in Senegal, Switzerland

Bamako- Mali (PANA) -- The association of Partnership for Child Development, with the support of the World Bank, will launch simultaneously in Senegal and Switze r land, a documentary from the book: "Courage and Hope: The Story of sub-Saharan H I V Positive Teachers".
According to a World Bank communique, made available to PANA here Tuesday, the f ilm will be launched during the international conference on HIV/AIDS and sexuall y transmittable infections in Africa (ICASA).
The ICASA conference will be held in Senegal and simultaneously transmitted to t he festival on HIV/AIDS organised by ONUSIDA, the UN Joint Programme on HIV/AIDS , in Geneva.
About 122,000 HIV positive teachers in Africa on the south of the Sahara support ed and closely collaborated on the project, sponsored by the World Bank, with th e focal points of HIV/AIDS of the African ministries of education, the communique disclosed.
The book, written by African journalists, relates the life of a dozen teachers f rom Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Ghana, Kenya, Mozambique, Rwanda, Senegal, Tanzania, Zanzibar and Zambia, who give a direct account of their lives with HIV/AIDS and i ts impact on their activities, their families and their communities.
