DR Congo court orders FIFA to pay 400,000 dollars in damages

Kinshasa- DR Congo (PANA) -- A court in Gombe, DR Congo has ordered the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) to pay 400,000 US dollars in damages to Edouard Kiaku Mbuta, a former secretary general of the Congolese Football Association (FECOFA).
Mbuta, who originally sought five million US dollars, claimed that FIFA had unjustly barred him from being a candidate in the FECOFA elections in January.
FIFA has yet to react to the Wednesday verdict, Mbuta said.
