DR Congo: President Kabila commends AIMF's special interest on Ebola

Kinshasa, DR Congo (PANA) - The Congolese president, Joseph Kabila, has welcomed the special attention given to the Ebola virus disease by participants in the 34th International Meeting of Francophone Mayors (AIMF), held from 3 to 7 November in Kinshasa, the DR Congo capital.

"I am delighted to see that the meeting has given a special attention to the scourge caused by the Ebola virus disease," he said while declaring the meeting closed.

“DR Congo succeeded in containing and controlling this virus," he added while expressing his country's solidarity to the countries affected by the epidemic.

He also reiterated the commitment of his country to continue to offer its expertise in the fight against this pandemic wherever it occurs.
