Côte d'Ivoire: Army helicopter missing

Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso (PANA) - An Ivorian army MI-24 helicopter on a reconnaissance mission on the northern border of the country lost contact with the control station on Friday, the General Staff of the Army announced.

The incident took place around early morning in the vicinity of Ferké and in the northern direction of Korhogo,  according to the army.

"Research is underway to locate the aircraft, which is believed to have crashed," the army said, adding that details would be announced later.
