Côte d’Ivoire: UN Women, Caucus of Ivorian women MPs sign pact

Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire (PANA) - Representative of UN women Marie Goretti Nduwayo and the chairwoman of the caucus of Ivorian female parliamentarians Sarra Fadika-Sako have signed a partnership pact worth 60 million CFAF (US$100,000).

The partnership, which was signed here Tuesday, aims to assist the female MPs to better carry out their duties.

The caucus was established at the constitutive general assembly held on 19 May 2014.

The Ivorian Parliament has 25 women MPs out of 254 members, or 9.4% as against 43.3% in Senegal and 63.8% in Rwanda.
