Côte d’Ivoire: Tunisian, Ivorian PMs hold talks in Abidjan

Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire (PANA) - Tunisian Prime Minister Habib Essid, who is on a two-day working visit in Côte d’Ivoire, on Monday held talks with his Ivorian counterpart Daniel Kablan Duncan in Abidjan.

Mr. Essid arrived Sunday in Abidjan and said his visit comes within the framework of strengthening friendly relations between Tunisia and Côte d'ivoire.

He added that the visit would be an opportunity to sign several cooperation agreements in areas of new technology and employment.

He announced that together with his host he would preside over a meeting of the High  Joint Commission that would examine ways of strengthening cooperation between the two countries. He said that he has invited the Ivorian Prime Minister to visit Tunisia soon.

"The meeting of the Commission will be an opportunity to sign agreements between the two countries in the fields of higher education and scientific research, social affairs and agriculture," he said.

The two Prime Ministers will also co-chair the opening of the Tunisian-Ivorian economic forum which will be marked by the presence of a large delegation of Tunisian businessmen.
