Congo: New airport to be built in Kindamba

Brazzaville, Congo (PANA) - The Congolese government is to build a new airport in Kindamba in the southern part of the country at a cost of 32.8 billion CFA Franc (US$69.3 million), according to a government statement.

The airport, which will be built over 12-15 months, will be equipped with a runway that can accommodate Boeing 737-300 type of aircraft.

The airport is being built to meet the demands of air transport in the country.
