Congo: Guinea Bissau's president visits Congo

Brazzaville, Congo (PANA) - The President of Guinea-Bissau, Jose Mario Vaz, arrived on Monday evening in Brazzaville for a two-day visit to Congo aimed at strengthening relations between the two countries, Congolese public radio announced on Tuesday.

Maio Vaz has talks with his Congolese counterpart, Denis Sassou Nguesso, shortly after his arrival, the broadcast said.

In an interview he talked about several issues including the situation in Guinea-Bissau characterised by instability of the country's institutions, bilateral relations and current affairs on the African continent.

Congo and Guinea-Bissau enjoy good bilateral relations and the President of Guinea-Bissau wants to draw on the experiences of his Congolese counterpart to resolve problems that undermine his country.

It is the third visit of Jose Mario Vaz to Congo in this year.  The first one was in May.
