Congo: Govt. budgets CFAF8b to prepare athletes, officials for 2015 All-Africa Games

Brazzaville, Congo (PANA) – Congo has earmarked CFAF 8 billion for the preparation of its athletes and officials for the 11th All-Africa Games, which it will host in 2015, the Congolese Sports and Physical Education minister, Leon-Alfred Opimbat, announced here Wednesday.

“A good preparation of the athletes and officials ahead of the Games is a major concern for the government which also plans to provide Brazzaville with modern sports infrastructures in a bid to win medals," said Mr. Opimbat.

He disclosed that a national preparatory committee for the Congolese athletes and officials has already been put in place.
