Congo: 4 women filmmakers win prizes at Brazzaville Tazama Festival

Brazzaville, Congo (PANA) - Four women filmmakers have won prizes at the second of the Tazama Festival for African women Filmmakers, held from 6 to 12 January in Brazzaville, the Congolese capital.

The award winners were the Congolese, Laurentine Milebo and one of Africa's actresses well know in European Cinemas, French/Congolese Meiji U’tumsi, an actresses, filmwriter and Rwandan filmmaker Jacqueline Kalimunda and Moroccan actresses, Amal Ayouch.

The Prize for the best short film was won by Congolese filmmaker Liesbeth Mabiala for her Film, "Dilemme", which deal with sexual harassment.

The movie, "Etoile", by the Congolese Noëlle Nsiensié won a special citation from the jury for its strength and message.

The two movies have been pencilled down to feature at the International Festival of Cannes, scheduled for April 2015.
