Chambas introduces ECOWAS force Commander to Gbagbo

Abidjan- Cote d'Ivoire (PANA) -- Ivorian President Laurent Gbagbo Tuesday in Abidjan received the ECOWAS Executive Secretary Mohamed Ibn Chambas, for talks on the crisis in that country, reliable sources said.
The sources said the audience was part of the preparations for the deployment of ECOWAS peace monitoring force (ECOMOG) in Cote d'Ivoire, by 31 December.
Chambas used the opportunity to introduce to Gbabgo, the ECOWAS force Commander General Papa Khalilou Fall of Senegal.
ECOWAS has been brokering the peace in Cote d'Ivoire, which has been in turmoil since the military uprising of 19 September.
