Cape Verdean water facility launched

Dakar- Senegal (PANA) -- The Santiago Water Bottling project, meant to provide the people of Cape Verde with clean drinking water, was officially inaugurated Monday at a ceremony attended by state officials and community leaders.
The project, funded by an Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa (BADEA) loan of US$1.
75 million, is part of the bank's initiative to create impact on public welfare, health and tourism.
The water project for Santiago is an example of cooperation aiming to promote the private sector, according to a BADEA media communiqué availed to PANA here Monday.
