Cape Verde airline to augment fleet

Praia- Cape Verde (PANA) -- Cape Verde's airline, TACV, intends to purchase two Boeing aircraft in a bid to strengthen its position in the international market, informed sources in Praia have disclosed.
According to the same sources, the airline's board has forwarded a proposal to the government for consideration by the cabinet on purchasing a Boeing 737-300 and a Boeing 767-200ER aircraft.
The plan to increase the TACV fleet follows the recent introduction of flights to Brazil, countries of the Economic Community of West African States and Europe.
TACV has been operating in the West African region in partnership with other national airlines such as Gambia International Airlines, Air Guinée, Guinea-Bissau Airlines, Air Senegal and Air Senegal International.
The airline's management aims at extending the international network to more destinations in Europe, the United States, Africa and South America.
