Business plan to revive Air Burkina presented to Prime Minister

Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso (PANA) - A US company on Thursday presented a business plan to revive Burkina Faso's national carrier, Air Burkina, to Prime Minister Christophe Joseph Marie Dabiré.

Mr. P.K. Smartt, Director of the African Global Development (AGD), called on the Prime Minister with whom he discussed the five-year business plan for the revival of the national airline.

Accompanied by the Minister of Transport, Vincent Dabilgou, Mr. Smartt discussed his company's proposals, a statement from the Prime Minister's Office said on Friday.

The plan spells out investments to be made over five years to revive the airline, while the sector is going through a turbulent period with Covid-19.

"We are in the process of acquisition, and very soon, we will complete this transaction," said Mr. Smartt as he left.

He said this is an opportunity to thank the government of Burkina Faso for all the attention and support in this process impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic.
