Burundian delegation leaves for Pretoria

Bujumbura- Burundi (PANA) -- A 22-member delegation comprising representatives from the Burundian army, civil society and religious denominations left Bujumbura Thursday for Pretoria, South Africa where they are to hold discussions with Nelson Mandela, the main mediator in that country's crisis.
The delegation includes two former Burundian Prime Ministers, Antoine Nduwayo and Edouard Nzambimana.
Incumbent Burundian President, Major Pierre Buyoya, who is now competing with several candidates for a transitional mandate under the Arusha accords, is also expected Friday in South Africa, sources in Bujumbura said.
