Burkina Faso: Burkinabe Jean-Baptiste Natama, among winners of the Mandela Pan-Africanism Prize 2016

Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso (PANA) – The former chief of staff of the African Union Commission chair, Jean-Baptiste Natama, is one of the winners of the Mandela Pan-Africanism Prize 2016, media sources reported Wednesday in Ouagadougou.

Jean-Baptiste Natama, also a former Burkina Faso army officer, received the same award as many others, including Beninese President Patrice Talon.

Altogether, the Nelson Mandela Prize committee received 3,623 nominations for the awards.
