Britain offers canteen to Ivorian pupils

Abidjan- Cote d'Ivoire (PANA) -- A school canteen donated by Britain was officially handed last 16 July to the committee for the management of Agoueto II School in Abidjan's Abobo district.
The 300-seat canteen worth 8 million CFA francs comprises a kitchen, a refectory and a store.
It has 43 tables and 80 benches.
It is expected to improve conditions for pupils when schools reopen next October.
"This donation is of immense social significance coming at a time when Cote d'Ivoire is going through a serious crisis.
It is also most welcome for parents as their children at Agoueto school had trouble finding lunch at midday," primary education Ncho Laurent noted of the British gesture.
