Botswana: 'No clue yet on missing chopper'

Gaborone, Botswana (PANA) - The search for the Botswana Police Service (BPS) chopper which went missing at the weekend has not yielded any positive results, PANA reported Wednesday.

The helicopter, which had on board two pilots and an airborne law enforcement officer at the time of its disappearance, went missing in the North-west district near the country’s tourist attraction of Okavango Delta Sunday evening, the police said.

"We have not found anything yet," police spokesperson Christopher Mbulawa told journalists Wednesday.

The missing helicopter is one of the two based in the country’s capital, Gaborone. Another is based in the second capital, Francistown.

Police have dismissed speculations of any foul play.
