Ble Goude "bans" ONUCI, "Licorne" vehicles in Abidjan

Abidjan- Cote d'Ivoire (PANA) -- Charles Ble Goude, leader of the "Young patriots," a movement supporting Ivorian President Laurent Gbagbo, Thursday prevented French and ONUCI peacekeepers from driving across the country "until President Gbagbo returns" from a private visit to the US.
Goude issued the injunction outside the 43rd Navy Infantry Battalion (BIMA), the French military base in Abidjan.
The "young patriots" also demanded that French troops leave the country, charging that they support rebel forces.
The youths said French troops allowed uncontrolled elements to infiltrate and attack Ivorian and French military positions in Gohitafla, centre-west Cote d'Ivoire on the night of 6 June.
Thursday's demonstration is the second since the attack on Gohitafla.
