Blast at French base in Abidjan accidental - paper

Paris- France (PANA) -- The explosion at a munitions depot of the 43 Marine Infantry Battalion (BIMA) that killed two French soldiers 5 March was the result of an "all-French blunder," the satirical weekly Le Canard enchaîné reported here Wednesday.
It revealed that a probe into the incident ordered by the French army staff revealed negligence in the stockpiling of tons of explosives only 30 metres from the barracks.
The investigations could directly indict French Unicorn Troops commander Henri Poncet, whose offices are in 43rd BIMA, the report said.
