Benin's football team camps in France

Cotonou- Benin (PANA) -- Benin's football team Saturday began a two-week training camp in Saint Etienne (France) as part of its preparations for the 2004 Cup of African Nations (CAN) scheduled to kick off 24 January in Tunisia.
A group of 18 players, including mostly first division locals, left Friday night for Saint Etienne where they will be joined by their foreign-based compatriots.
After the training in France, which will end on 5 December, the team will train in Abu Dhabi until 16 December before returning home to play a friendly against Senegal on 21 November.
Local players called to the camp are Chirtou Rachad (Dragons FC), Thomas Djilan (Postel FC),Yousouf Samiou (Buffles), Séidah Tchomogo (Lions FC), Adomè Sagbo (Dragons FC), Marcos Habib (Postels FC), Maman Gafar (Buffles FC), Jonas Okétola (DragonsFC), Jocelyn Ahouéya (Mogas 90), Jaurès Koréas (Mogas 90), Wasiu Oladipupo (Jeunesse sportive of Pobè FC), Issifou Nassirou (Soleil FC), Sèvi Amoussou (Soleil FC), Médard Zanou (Jeunesse sportive of Pobè FC), Oscar Orou (Mogas 90), Marcel Noumon (Enyimba, Nigeria), Raïmi Goumbéao (Lions FC) and Emmanuel Soukas (Soleil FC).
Foreign-based professionals are Laurent Djaffo (Aberdeen, Scotland), Rodrigue Akpakoun (no club), Kabirou Moussoro (Pau, France), Moussa Latoundji (Energie Cottbus, Germany) and Oumar Tchomogo (Guingamp, France).
