Benghazi hosts int'l conference on fight against AIDS

Benghazi- Libya (PANA) -- An international conference on AIDS, organized by the C entre for Endemic Diseases and Immunology of Benghazi, in collaboration with the Office of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Libya, began Monday at the Medical Centre of Bengahazi (1,050 kilometres East of Tripoli).
The meeting, which is being attended by over 80 researchers from different count ries of the world under the patronage of Dr.
Aisha Mouammar Kadhafi, Secretary G e neral of the Libyan charitable Association Waatassimou and goodwill ambassador f o r UN, is focusing on studying the latest scientific discoveries related to AIDS, contagious diseases and others.
Participants will discuss the global strategy of the fight against HIV/AIDS.
The y will also review ways of reintegrating HIV positive people into the society.
