BADEA director general visits Senegal

Dakar- Senegal (PANA) --Arab Bank of the Economic Development in Africa (MADEA) director general Medhat Sami Lotfy arrived in Dakar Sunday as part of a continental tour that will also take him to Ethiopia, Botswana and Lesotho, says a news release issued by the bank.
While in Senegal, Lotfy will hold discussions with the country's senior leadership on the existing co-operation and future prospects.
Highlights of the tour include the signing of a loan agreement worth US$8 million BADEA will provide to finance a project to supply potable water to localities along the Notto-N'diosmone- Palmarin road stretch.
The two sides will also sign another agreement for US$5.
1 million as BADEA's contribution towards the reduction of Senegal's debt burden under the Highly Indebted Poor Countries (HIPC) Initiative.
