Conakry- Guinea (PANA) -- The director general of the Arab Bank for Economic Deve lopment in Africa (BADEA), Abdelaziz Khelef, is expected in Guinea Saturday, a p r ess statement made available to PANA Thursday said.
Khelef, who will make this visit as part of a sub-regional tour involving Sierra Leone, Cape Verde and Senegal 11-21 April, will be received by President Lansan a Conte, Prime Minister Lansana Kouyate before holding talks with several cabinet members.
Their talks will centre on the current state of the co-operation between Guinea and the Bank.
During his visit, the BADEA boss is also expected to sign an agreement for a US$ 13.
5 million loan designed to finance the construction of the Labe-Seriba-Medin a Gonas road and that of Kouramangui-Manda Sinthiourou.
The project, which is part of the national transport plan with the purpose of de veloping the transport sector and the national road network, is meant to develop the main road linking Guinea and Senegal, improve the conditions of transport an d road security, open up the areas along the road and contribute to poverty allev i ation.
BADEA has financed 37 projects in Guinea totalling US$ 155.
