BADEA chief to visit Cotonou Saturday

Cotonou- Benin (PANA) -- The managing director of the Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa (BADEA), Abdelaziz Khelef, is expected to make a four-day working visit to Cotonou beginning Saturday, the banking institution's officials said Wednesday.
The visit, which is part of a sub-regional tour taking him to Ghana, Togo and Benin, will help Khelef and his delegation discuss with the Beninese authorities the situation of the cooperation between Benin and the bank.
During his visit, Khelef will hold meetings with several ministers, including the senior minister in charge of economy, long-term planning, development and public works, and will be received by Beninese President Boni Yayi.
Khelef will visit the sites of various projects sponsored by his bank and will have working sessions with the managers in relation to the BADEA- sponsored operations in Benin.
At the end of his visit on 11 July, he will sign a US$10 million loan agreement intended to finance the conservation project for the protection of Benin coast threatened by erosion.
