Dakar- Senegal (PANA) -- The Director-General of the Arab Bank for Economic Devel opment in Africa (BADEA), Abdelaziz Khelef, has arrived in Burundi after visitin g Rwanda as part of a week-long African tour, the bank said in a statement made available to PANA here Monday.
During the visit, the Director General will meet with Burundi's President Pierre Nkurunziza and other government authorities to discuss operations financed by BADEA in Burundi.
Discussions between the bank's boss and high-ranking officials will be centred a round the review of the cooperation between the institution and Burundi, as well as future prospects and investments.
Altogether, BADEA has invested in Burundi up to US$52.
92m covering 12 projects.
BADEA's operations cover 43 countries and a number of regional organizations, in such sectors as .
infrastructure, agriculture, rural development (electrification and water supply), energy, industry and social issu es.
From Burundi, the BADEA boss will head to Mali.
