Australia to establish cooperation with Niger

Niamey, Niger (PANA) - The Australian government's special envoy to the Francophone and French-speaking countries in Africa, William Fisher, said Thursday in Niamey that his country wants to establish cooperation with Niger.

"The companies in my country are looking to invest in the mining sector in Niger on the basis of brotherhood between our two countries," Mr. Fisher told the press after an audience with the President of Niger, Mahamadou Issoufou.

He said he had congratulated Issoufou and the people of Niger "for his successful transition that has delighted the whole democratic world."
