Luanda- Angola (PANA) -- Angolan women, particularly in government, want to achie ve equal representation in the number of decision makers in the coming years, th e Minister of Familiy and Women Promotion, Genoveva Lino, said here Wednesday.
Addressing a press conference, Lino acknowledged that the number of female decis ion makers had increased, now reaching 30 per cent, which she described as an im p rovement but not enough.
The minister was presenting to the press the "March Woman" programme, to run fro m 1 to 13 March during the celebrations of the Angolan Women Day (2 March) and t h e International Women's Day (31 March).
The major activity on the programme, starting Thursday, will be held in Benguela province, under the theme "Angolan woman more rigour and transparency and bette r governance".
Three books and lectures on the legislation on violence against women will also be launched during the programme.
