Luanda, Angola (PANA) - The Angolan Minister of Energy and Water, Emanuela Vieira Lopes, Tuesday praised Angolan women for their efforts in demanding their rights, gender equality and their involvement in the overall development of the country.
Lopes, addressing a workshop on “Women’s commitment in the society”, held in Luanda as part of celebrations of the World Women's Day, said that despite the difficulties, the Angolan woman was known to have played key roles in the household and in the various important areas of the
development of the country.
She urged them to strive to get educated so they could be gainfully employed in order to ensure better living conditions for themselves and earn some respect.
