Angolan province records 136 HIV/AIDS cases in 4 months

Mbanza Kongo, Angola (PANA) - No fewer than 136 cases of HIV/AIDS, which has claimed eight lives, were recorded in the first quarter of this year in northern Zaire province, said the local health
sources.

The provincial  supervisor of AIDS control programme, Manuel Kai, said there was a drop of nine cases of HIV/AIDS in comparison to the previous period when the province reported 145 cases, with three deaths.

Kai listed Soyo and Mbanza Kongo, with 85 and 44 cases respectively, as the most affected districts, followed by Tomboco and Nzeto with three each.
