Angola recorded 17,​000 cases of HIV/AIDS in 2010

Luanda, Angola (PANA) - About 17,000 cases of HIV/AIDS were detected in 2010 in Angola, following 342,931 tests conducted throughout the country, the Director General of the National Institute for the fight against AIDS, Mrs. Dulcelina Serrano, said Tuesday.

Since 2004, no fewer than 68,855 patients have been subjected to monitoring at national level and 32,992 are currently receiving medical treatment on the virus, Serrano underscored.
