Algerian Islamic dissidents kill two people west of Algiers

Algiers- Algeria (PANA) -- Suspected Islamic fundamentalists on Tuesday murdered a 64-year-old woman and an eight-year old child as they broke the fast at Beni-Boutaleb village, 200-km west of Algiers, Algerian security services reported Wednesday.
According to the source, the armed Islamic group also kidnapped two 15-year old girls in the first incident of violence since the beginning of the holy month of fasting.
The assault by the suspected Islamic group occurred as security forces continued a vast operation to track the dissidents in their hideouts.
Dozens of Islamic fighters have been neutralised during military operations in central-eastern and central-western Algeria over the past two months.
Algerian government security forces have also destroyed many bunkers and recovered many weapons from arrested dissidents, who provided precious information to security officers.
