Air Mauritius gets new chairman, CEO

Port-Louis, Mauritius (PANA) - Appalsamy Thomas was Thursday elected chairman of the board of Air Mauritius by the Board of Directors of the Mauritian national airline.

Thomas is currently chairman of Mauritius Telecom.

The Board has also confirmed Andre Viljoen as Chief Executive Officer of Air Mauritius.

He was president and Chief Executive Officer of South African Airways (SAA) from 2001 to 2004.
