Air Madagascar suspends flights

Saint Denis- Reunion (PANA) -- Air Madagascar has suspended all flights from Wednesday until further notice, Managing Director James Andrianalisoa, has announced.
"I have decided to suspend operations as from Wednesday," Andrianalisoa said in a statement Tuesday.
The decision followed the chartering Tuesday of a plane authorised by an Administrator appointed by Malagasy self-proclaimed President, Marc Ravalomanana.
Air Madagascar last month suspended what it called "non-profitable international flights," because of economic crisis.
But the Managing Director insists the Company would find a way out of the crisis.
"We have succeeded in rectifying the situation and negotiating rescheduling of our arrears with creditors," Andrianalisoa said.
