Bamako, Mali (PANA) – Air France and Mali's national carrier, SN Air Mali, have signed an agreement to share codes between Paris and Bamako.
According to the agreement, which went into effect on 1 June 2012, Air France would make available to SN Air seats on its daily flights between its hub of Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Bamako, a press release from Air France made available to PANA on Thursday said.
The agreement completes the sharing of codes announced last week between Air France and Air Burkina.
The sharing of codes is the first stage for the new trade cooperation agreement signed between the two airlines. The agreement should, in the near future be extended to other routes in west and central Africa.
Air France has daily flights to Bamako from Paris Charles de Gaulle airport using an Airbus A330.
With KLM and its partners, the airline proposes a network of 52 destinations in Africa in summer 2012 from Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Amsterdam.
SN Air Mali was set up in May 2005 with the goal to open up the country.
