African artists to feature in France AIDS concert

Paris- France (PANA) -- Ivorian reggae stars Alpha Blondy and Tiken Jah Fakoly, a mong other singers, will perform in a concert here Friday to celebrate the 10th " Solidays" Festival, which proceeds are used every year to finance AIDS control p r ojects in France and about 20 other countries.
Interactive exhibitions will be held as well as a community village where festiv al organisers offer a window for AIDS control associations from France and all o v er the world: Bolivia, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Côte d'Ivoire, Guinea, Mauritius, India, Kenya, Madagascar, Niger, Nigeria, Romania, Senegal, Togo.
In addition to the three-day concerts, association activists will address confer ences to denounce the injustices and inequalities in accessing AIDS treatment in southern countries and particularly to persuade French authorities to advocate f o r a widespread access to antiretrovirals.
Solidays is one of the leading French festivals, convened every summer.
