Conakry- Guinea (PANA) -- Secretary general, Abdou Diouf of the International Organisation of the Francophonie (OIF) is heading a delegation in Conakry on a two-day visit to Guinea as part of a west African tour.
Lansana Kouyaté, representative of the Francophone in Côte d'Ivoire, is accompaning him in Guinea.
"Guinea is one of OIF's most active members at all levels and institutions," Diouf told the press on arrival Tuesday evening.
He added that he was in Conakry to praise Guineans for their dynamism in the OIF.
Moreover, he described his relations with President Lansana Conté, whom he is expected to Wednesday, as "fraternal and warm".
The fight against poverty and issues related to good governance will be on the agenda of their talks, official sources said.
