Abdou Diouf due in Mauritius Tuesday

Port Louis- Mauritius (PANA) -- The Secretary General of the International Organisation of the Francophonie (OIF), Abdou Diouf is expected to arrive here Tuesday for a three-day official visit to Mauritius, official sources disclosed Monday.
Accompanied by his wife Elisabeth, Diouf would participate in the commissioning of the Bell-Village-based Alliance Française centre near Port Louis.
Interim Art and Culture minister Joe Lesjongard, French Ambassador to Mauritius Henri Vignal and other officials will greet Diouf upon arrival at the Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport.
Diouf, a former president of Senegal, will also meet separately with Prime Minister Paul Berenger and President Sir Anerood Jugnauth before attending a reception hosted by the French ambassador to Mauritius.
Diouf will early Wednesday visit the southern town of Mahebourg to lay wreath on the Slaves Monument and meet in the afternoon Indian Ocean Commission Secretary General Andreas Esoavelomandroso in Quatres-Bornes, with a stop at the AFRINIC company at the cyber zone of Ebene.
On Thursday, Diouf will meet National Assembly speaker, Premath Ramnah, before holding another meeting with opposition leader Navin Ramgoolam.
He will also visit the Mauritian University to meet with the staff and students at the Faculty of Humanities.
Also included in Diouf's visit is a stopover at the Francophonie Institute for Enterprise (IFE) and the Alliance Française in Bell-Village.
Diouf and wife Elisabeth leave Mauritius early Friday.
