Official sources in Abidjan said Monday that the team's technical management had asked for 748 million FCFA (1,041,608 dollars) for preparation of the 'Elephants' team for the Africa Cup finals to be played early 2002 in Mali.
Of the amount, about 155 million FCFA will be used to organise five training courses, two of which are scheduled to take place in Europe and three in Cote d'Ivoire.
The Ivorian team will play in group C with Democratic Republic of Congo, Cameroon and Togo.
