2019 CAF U-17 AFCON men's qualifier: Hosts Tunisia win opening Northern Zone match

Tunis, Tunisia (PANA) - Tunisia began hosting the Northern Zone qualifiers for the 2019 CAF Under-17 AFCON on a winning note, beating Libya 1-0 on Monday.

Morocco also scored a huge Day 1 victory - a 5-2 win over Algeria.

Only one of these four times - Tunisia, Libya, Algeria and Morocco - will take the single slot from the Zone to the AFCON, which will be played in Tanzania next year.

Day 2 matches will be played on 24 August.

Meanwhile, Day 3, Group A campaign in the Central-East Zone will end on Tuesday with a match between Rwanda and Tanzania.

Both teams are already through to the semi-finals, even with Day 3 matches yet to be played. And the final Group B fixtures on 22 August are as follows:-

Uganda vs Djibouti
Ethiopia vs Kenya
