2018 FIFA U-20 WWC: Nigeria win 1st match, rekindle qualification hope

Paris, France (PANA) - Nigeria defeated Haiti 1-0 on Thursday, vaulting from bottom of the four-team table to second place in Group D at the ongoing 2018 FIFA Under-20 Women's World Cup in France.

In their Day2 match at the Stade Marville in Saint-Malo, Rasheedat Ajibade scored from the penalty spot in the 36th minute, a goal that was enough to keep Nigeria in contention and sent the Haitians packing, even with Day 3 matches still to be played.
